All are welcome to attend the upcoming Laudato Si Mass with Bishop Mark Beckman

Todos están invitados a asistir a la próxima Misa Laudato Si con el Obispo Mark Beckman.

Bishop Mark Beckman will celebrate Mass in celebration of the 10th anniversary of Pope Francis' encyclical On Care for Our Common Home, or Laudato Si' (Praise Be To You) at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Alcoa on Tuesday, May 27 at 6:00 PM with a light reception to follow.


The encyclical promotes care for creation and encourages mindful, sustainable practices as individuals and parishes. All parishioners of the Knoxville Diocese are warmly invited, and we especially hope that young people of our diocese will attend. Light refreshments in the parish social hall will follow Mass, hosted by the Diocese of Knoxville's Care of Creation ministries. 


Those attending are invited to bring a meaningful item-such as a piece of artwork, a prayer, or a photo-that reflects the beauty of God's creation. These items will be blessed by Bishop Beckman during the Mass.


Non-perishable food items will be collected for the Community Food Connection.


El Obispo Mark Beckman celebrará una Misa en honor al 10.º aniversario de la encíclica del Papa Francisco Sobre el cuidado de la casa común, o Laudato Si' (Alabado seas), en la Iglesia Católica Our Lady of Fatima en Alcoa, el martes 27 de mayo a las 6:00 p.m., con una recepción ligera después de la Misa.


La encíclica promueve el cuidado de la creación y anima a practicar estilos de vida sostenibles y conscientes, tanto a nivel personal como parroquial. Todos los feligreses de la Diócesis de Knoxville están cordialmente invitados, y especialmente esperamos la participación de los jóvenes de nuestra diócesis. Al finalizar la Misa, se ofrecerán refrigerios ligeros en el salón social parroquial, organizados por los ministerios de Cuidado de la Creación de la Diócesis de Knoxville.



Se invita a los asistentes a traer un objeto significativo—como una obra de arte, una oración o una foto—que refleje la belleza de la creación de Dios. Estos objetos serán bendecidos por el Obispo Beckman durante la Misa.


También se recolectarán alimentos no perecederos para Community Food Connection.
