All are welcome to attend the upcoming Laudato Si Mass with Bishop Mark Beckman

Bishop Mark Beckman will celebrate Mass in celebration of the 10th anniversary of Pope Francis' encyclical On Care for Our Common Home, or Laudato Si' (Praise Be To You) at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Alcoa on Tuesday, May 27 at 6:00 PM with a light reception to follow.

The encyclical promotes care for creation and encourages mindful, sustainable practices as individuals and parishes. All parishioners of the Knoxville Diocese are warmly invited, and we especially hope that young people of our diocese will attend. Light refreshments in the parish social hall will follow Mass, hosted by the Diocese of Knoxville's Care of Creation ministries.

Those attending are invited to bring a meaningful item-such as a piece of artwork, a prayer, or a photo-that reflects the beauty of God's creation. These items will be blessed by Bishop Beckman during the Mass.

Non-perishable food items will be collected for the Community Food Connection.
